No I haven`t......

I know some of you may have thought I had fallen off the edge of the world but not to worry I have not.......not yet that is!!!!!!!!

Let`s see what to start with........August as been a very busy month!!! A friend of mine re-married her first husband in June and they had a wedding dance the first of September. So I was asked if I could make her a tiara to wear for the dance, which I did!!

Here are some pictures of the tiara and the bride with the tiara and veil added!!
It is tatted in size 20 Lizbeth thread with purple beads added. The pattern is from the 30th Anniversary Book of Patterns by the Ring of Tatters. The designer is Pat Polley! I was also asked to help make the decorations and wreath for the event.

I have also been busy test tatting patterns for this years tatting weekend in Cambridge Ontario for the Fringe Tatters. Along with that, Vicki (Victats) asked me to do some testing for her too. This pendant was inspired by some of the new things I did for her!!

It is tatted in Lizbeth size 20 and was free style. So are these doodads I added tatting to as part of Diane`s Doodad Dare!! I really enjoyed trying new things out with interest pieces and beads!!

In other news I was able to get a part time job at a local grocery store. It is only 8 hours a week but something is better than nothing!!!
I also have found that the start of the school year was difficult for me. My son has entered his last year of high school. It reminded me of his first day.....can any one tell me where the time has gone!?!?

I will have more later. Hope all is well in your part of Tat Land!
Tat to you later, Kelly.

  4. Beautiful tiara for your friend - very special! Interesting story! Also, the jewelry is so pretty. It's amazing how large beads and doo-dads mix perfectly with tatting!

I seem to have missed commenting on your post about the adorable parrot (so cute!), and your knee mishap - on the bad leg yet! Apparently you're doing better (whew!) - and congrats on the job! The earring/pendant pattern for the fair is great!! Hope you did well with those!
