Hello Everyone
Yes I am still here. Between computer problems and life, I just haven`t blogged much. I am hoping to get back to it. I do have much to share but I won`t do all of it on one post!! Some good things and some sad things too. But lately I have noticed just how much I NEED tatting and the tatting community. On February 11th, while she was on holiday in Florida, my mother in law suddenly passed away. We were able to get her home and say our goodbye late last week. While going through this time my husband and I really didn`t want the tv on or the radio, so I decided to start on Renulck 2015 Spring doily. I didn`t know how much I would be able to do or finish. Below is a picture of the doily.
I have been able to keep up with the posts of instructions to date. I am using Lizbeth size 20 threads. This tatting work has helped me so much. I find I can be there for my family but still have time for myself and this tatted piece. I think when I finish it I will rename it ``Muriel`` and perhaps frame it too. We will see.
I promise my next post will be happier!!
Tatfully Yours
Kelly
So sorry for your loss. I find tatting to be like meditation. It takes my mind off my problems for a short time and allows me to relax. I hope it does the same for you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piece of tatting, what a lovely thought to name it after her.
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to read about your mother in law and glad your tatting is seeing you though a bad time
