Hello Everyone in Tat-Land

I would like to know what you think of this tatted pendent piece?

I am thinking of teaching it at the Fringes Tatting weekend this September.

It only took me about 25 minutes to do but if I also teach them my way of stiffening it.....it might take up the 2 hour class time!

As promised......

Hello one and all!!!

As promised here are some pictures of the test tatting I have been for a well known designer!!

With her permission I can show you some of the work.

First here is a piece done with pearl tatting and many beads. It did give me a challenge as I am not use to left and right handed tatting. But I really enjoyed doing this little test!!

Next we have a Flower Pin. Again many, many beads!!!

That`s right Nina Libin!! 

Her new book will be available the beginning of April. I will let you all know when it is available!!!

Lost

Lost

I bet many of you have thought that of me. And to be truthful, in a way I have been a little lost!

Lost, is what has been happening in my little part Tat-Land.

My wonderful hubby lost is job in November.

My son has been applying to colleges. So I feel like I will be losing him soon.

We lost one of our family members. Our cat Cassie. RIP

And just now our dog has had surgery and she has lost some of her moving freedom.

I have lost some time having to go and see different doctors and specialist.

I'm feeling a little LOST in the middle of this.

But I am going to turn over a new leaf!!! 

Spring is coming and I must get out of this downward spiral I'm in. I have been tatting and will get back to sharing it with you soon.

And on a bright note I will be teaching at this years Finger Lakes seminar this April!!! So be sure to check out their web site and think about coming out. I would love to meet you!!

I have also been doing some test tatting for a very well known tatter and will sharing more of this in coming blog entries. 

Hope you have not forgotten me completely!!

No I haven`t......

I know some of you may have thought I had fallen off the edge of the world but not to worry I have not.......not yet that is!!!!!!!!

Let`s see what to start with........August as been a very busy month!!! A friend of mine re-married her first husband in June and they had a wedding dance the first of September. So I was asked if I could make her a tiara to wear for the dance, which I did!!

Here are some pictures of the tiara and the bride with the tiara and veil added!!

It is tatted in size 20 Lizbeth thread with purple beads added. The pattern is from the 30th Anniversary Book of Patterns by the Ring of Tatters. The designer is Pat Polley! I was also asked to help make the decorations and wreath for the event. 

I have also been busy test tatting patterns for this years tatting weekend in Cambridge Ontario for the Fringe Tatters. Along with that, Vicki (Victats) asked me to do some testing for her too. This pendant was inspired by some of the new things I did for her!!

It is tatted in Lizbeth size 20 and was free style. So are these doodads I added tatting to as part of Diane`s Doodad Dare!! I really enjoyed trying new things out with interest pieces and beads!!

In other news I was able to get a part time job at a local grocery store. It is only 8 hours a week but something is better than nothing!!! 

I also have found that the start of the school year was difficult for me. My son has entered his last year of high school. It reminded me of his first day.....can any one tell me where the time has gone!?!?

Hello to all in Tat-Land

I have been working on some tatting and other things as of late!!! But where does the time go!!

Now I did find time to tat Mary Konior`s Spinning Wheel. It is tatted in size 40 Lizbeth colour #154 Wildflower Garden. I really like tatting this piece!!

I am also going to receive a hand tatted item from Margarets Designer Cards! It is part of a ``Pay it Forward`` event she took part in!! If you were one of the first 3 people to leave a comment on her post you would receive something tatted from her in your favorite colour!!
